📈 Prices are 2026 non-EU adult rates — up sharply this year. The pass is now a stronger buffer against entry inflation than ever.
Travelling with children? Under-18s enter every national museum free — only count the adults above. You don't buy a pass for anyone under 18.

Common Questions

Answered Before You Ask

The questions people search for most — answered clearly.

Does the pass include the metro? +
No. The Paris Museum Pass only covers museum and monument entry. For transport, buy a separate Navigo Liberté+ card or individual metro tickets at any station.
Does it include the Eiffel Tower? +
No — the Eiffel Tower is privately managed and not part of the pass. Book Eiffel Tower tickets separately, ideally 2–3 months ahead during peak season.
Can you re-enter the same museum twice? +
Yes. The pass allows unlimited entries to all 55+ sites during your valid period. You can leave and return as many times as you like within opening hours.
EU residents under 26 — do you still need it? +
EU residents under 26 get free entry to all French national museums. If your passport is an EU country, check before buying — you may not need the pass at all.
Do I need my pass number to book the Louvre? +
No. You can book your Louvre timed entry slot before you even receive the pass. Just select "I have a Museum Pass" at the reservation stage. Show the physical or digital pass on arrival.
Is there a student discount or annual version? +
No annual pass exists. EU students under 26 may get free entry as above. Non-EU students pay full price — the museum pass is still the best value option available to them.
Do children need a pass? +
No. Children under 18 enter every French national museum free, regardless of nationality. You only buy passes for the adults in your group — keep the children with you, and at a few sites you collect a free child ticket at the entrance.
Do I pay anything extra at the entrance? +
No. Once you hold the pass, entry to the permanent collections is fully included — you pay nothing more at the door. The only exception is occasional special temporary exhibitions, which are ticketed separately.
Does booking a time slot cost extra? +
No. Sites like the Louvre, Versailles and Sainte-Chapelle ask you to reserve a free timed slot. The reservation is separate from the pass but costs nothing — the pass remains your entry ticket.
Can a family share one pass? +
No — each adult needs their own pass, as it's non-transferable. But under-18s don't need one at all, so a family of two adults and two children only buys two passes.
