Is the Musée Eugène-Delacroix included in the Paris Museum Pass?
Yes — the Paris Museum Pass covers full entry to the Musée Eugène-Delacroix, saving you €7 per person. Booking a timed slot online is recommended. Note: the museum is closed on Tuesdays and has unusual weekday hours (noon–5:30pm Monday and Wednesday–Friday).
About Musée Eugène-Delacroix
Eugène Delacroix (1798–1863) moved to 6 Rue de Fürstenberg in December 1857, close to Saint-Sulpice church where he was completing monumental mural paintings. He lived here until his death six years later. The museum occupies his final apartment and the studio he had built in the hidden garden — one of the most evocative artist’s house museums in Paris.
The pass covers the permanent collection of paintings, drawings, pastels, prints, and personal objects, plus any current temporary exhibitions. The free museum app offers an immersive audio tour of the apartment and studio narrated by a character representing Delacroix’s housekeeper Jenny Le Guillou.
No reservation required. Booking a timed slot is recommended but not mandatory. Visit musee-delacroix.fr to book. Note the unusual opening hours: Monday and Wednesday to Friday the museum only opens at noon. Saturday and Sunday it opens at 10am — the best days for an early visit.
Note: Louvre–Delacroix combined ticket (€22): a Louvre ticket gives free same-day or next-day access to the Musée Delacroix, and vice versa. The museum is exceptionally closed 13–17 April 2026 for a new display installation.
Practical Tips
Tip 1
Visit on a Saturday or Sunday morning (opens 10am) — the only days with morning opening. The hidden garden and studio are at their best in good weather.
Tip 2
The Place de Fürstenberg itself — the tiny square outside the museum — is one of the most photogenic corners of Paris. Allow 10 minutes before or after your visit just to sit there.

Ready to Visit Musée Eugène-Delacroix?
€7 entry included with the Museum Pass. Plus 50+ more venues across Paris.
Yes — the pass covers full entry to the Musée Eugène-Delacroix, saving €7 per person. Booking a timed slot online at musee-delacroix.fr is recommended. The museum is closed on Tuesdays and opens at noon on weekdays (Monday and Wednesday–Friday). Saturday and Sunday opening is from 10am.
Delacroix moved here in December 1857 specifically to be close to the Church of Saint-Sulpice, where he was completing a large cycle of mural paintings for the Chapel of the Holy Angels. The Saint-Sulpice murals — Jacob Wrestling with the Angel, Heliodorus Driven from the Temple, and Saint Michael Defeating the Devil — took him over 20 years and are considered among his greatest works. They are a 5-minute walk from the museum and free to view inside the church.
The Musée Delacroix is managed by the Établissement Public du Musée du Louvre. A combined ticket (€22) gives access to both museums: a Louvre ticket grants free same-day or next-day admission to the Delacroix, and a Delacroix ticket grants free same-day admission to the Louvre. Museum Pass holders get both museums included in their pass at no extra charge.
